Tara: Day One

On April 25th, approximately 2:00 pm, we started production on our newest project, "Tara". Our first scene we shot was our beast waking up from a night of carnage in the middle of a forest. Everything turned out really well. And Heir Director (Ace) seems to be pleased. Next we splattered blood puddles along a path and did one of my favorite shot style, the tracking shot. I followed our actor down the path as he notices the blood puddles. Our final shot for this location was a gory mess of what remained of a mans lust for an others one true love. Revenge. Justice. "Bloody Satisfaction".

We packed up the gear and took a dinner break. Five dollar foot long; Cold cut combo and Italian herb and cheese, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, green peppers, onion, and olives, mayo, mustard, and sweet onion sauce. And a large lemonade. We headed back to home base and fed. Our lead actress arrived around 7:30pm. Ace discussed the scenes we would be shooting with the talent and performed a small make-up test and the the real thing. We set up the green screen behind the car, set up the lights, readied the talent and began shooting the most perverse/physically scene we have shot to date. It wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought it might be. There was plenty of laughter between the screams. We finished shooting around 2:30am with a lot of good takes but unfortunately we will have to reshoot most of the night scenes due to an inconsistent lighting on the green screen, but at least we know how we want to set up the shots so it wont take to long.

So after a intense and enjoyable evening of shooting full of several top five greatest moments and many other tag lines we walk away with plenty of coverage, good and not so good footage.

It is May 17th 2009 5:56am and have yet to shoot another day. We are hoping to finish our reshoot sometime early this week. Until then...
